Christian Nentwich PhD
Chief Executive Officer
Christian Nentwich is co-founder and CEO of Duco, a true disruptor in the data quality and reconciliation market. A lifelong technologist with a relentless passion for simplifying complex data using augmented machine learning and AI automation, Christian has led Duco from a few lines of code five years ago to an award winning global enterprise. He has a proven track record of building successful businesses and leadership teams that deliver transformational experiences to clients. Prior to Duco, Christian founded Systemwire, which exited to Message Automation and further to Broadridge. He holds a BSc and PhD in Computer Science from University College London and is a winner of its Faculty Medal in Mathematical and Physical Sciences.
Non-Executive Board Member
Peter is currently managing director of Insight Venture Partners. Alongside Duco he serves on the board of directors at Achieve3000, DrillingInfo, Fenergo, Filmtrack, Kinnser Software, Kony Solutions, Syncsort, Mediaspectrum and Workforce Software. Before Insight, Peter was President of Think Systems, an Insight portfolio company focused on supply chain management. Prior to that, he was President of Datalogix, a vendor of enterprise application software for process manufacturers. He also held senior executive roles at Ross Systems, a provider of financial application software.
Cris is the former President and CEO of SunGard, and brings a wealth of experience following a 24-year distinguished career at the firm. He grew SunGard to become a Fortune 500 Company and the largest privately held software and services company in the world, employing over 26,000 staff. Prior to President and CEO of SunGard, Cris held various senior roles at the company including Executive Vice President and COO.
Non-Executive Board Member
Spencer is an experienced former investment banker, now focused on helping technology platforms digitise financial services and minimise the cyber risk inherent in this process. In addition to his Duco board seat, Spencer has several other roles - Vice Chairman, Board of Directors at Fenergo (client onboarding and lifecycle management, AML/KYC compliance and client data management); Board member and adviser at nCino (cloud bank operating system); Board member and advisor at Nivaura (platform for tokenising all forms of capital raising); Chairman of Inforalgo Information Technology (data management); and Chairman of Advisory Board at Callsign (digital identity authentication).
Chief Operating Officer
Mireille Dyrberg is Duco’s Chief Operating Officer with responsibility for customer success, all administrative functions, finance and legal. She was previously Chief Operating Officer of TriOptima, a post-trade services firm providing trade reconciliation, portfolio compression, risk analytics and margin services. Earlier in her career, Mireille was the Global Business Manager for Rates at Dresdner Kleinwort, before which she held a series of Operations leadership roles both in London and Frankfurt. She holds a BA from the University of Kent at Canterbury and a double MA degree with Distinction from Exeter University and the Uniwersytet Jagiellonski w Krakowie, specializing in macroeconomics.
VP Global Client Services
Julian has over 20 years of professional experience in assisting large financial services organizations with evaluating their operational and technology infrastructures. He has built and operated Reconciliation Centers of Excellence at firms including Citi and BNY Mellon. Prior to Duco, Julian was at SmartStream Technologies, where he was in charge of their Global Operations and Client Services division. As one of his last initiatives at SmartStream, Julian built and managed a Global Managed Service organization that offered implementation and maintenance services related to reconciliation best practices.
Head of Finance & Operations
Danielle is Duco’s Head of Finance & Operations with responsibility for the HR, legal, finance and administrative functions. Danielle previously held numerous senior leadership roles at NEX Group, latterly as the Global Head of Finance Operations where she was responsible for the design and delivery of the finance transformation programme. Earlier in her career Danielle held a variety of commercial finance roles across numerous sectors, including investment banking, insurance and engineering. Danielle is a CIMA member and holds a BA in Accounting & Finance from Nottingham Trent University.
Global Head of Sales
Douglas is Duco’s Head of Sales for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia/Pacific. He is responsible for revenue growth with customers in these geographies and leads a team of sales and pre-sales professionals across the region. Douglas has over 28 years’ sales & marketing experience working for brands such as Reuters, Dow Jones, IBM, American Express & G4S delivering data-driven & systematic growth programmes in a variety of product, marketing & sales roles. Douglas also has experience working with private equity working as the Group Strategy & Marketing Director for Danwood, previously the UK’s largest reseller of managed print services, putting in place the growth turnaround strategy leading to the successful divestment of the company. Douglas graduated from the University of Surrey with a BSc in Physics & Computer Science.
Head of Sales, North America
Scott is Duco's Head of Sales in North America, responsible for driving new revenue and providing leadership over Duco's US sales team. He was previously Global Head of Sales at Novus Partners, a SaaS portfolio attribution & risk platform used by many of the world's largest hedge funds & allocators. Prior to Novus, Scott held numerous sales leadership positions at firms such as SkOUT Secure Intelligence and Third Bridge, where opened the US office and experienced 6x global revenue growth during his 5 year tenure. Early in his career, Scott spent time at companies such as DoubleClick, Clear Channel & TheMarkets.com. Scott graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a BS in Business Management.
Head of Product Management
Nico is responsible for product management at Duco. He has more than 10 years of experience in the financial technology space with experience in both engineering and product management. Most recently at Kyriba, where he was in charge of building out their risk management and valuation solution. Previously, he has worked in a number of financial technology companies, including Wallstreet Systems (an ION group company), QSR management (a BNY Mellon company) and Simcorp Treasury Solutions.
Barry drives the company's technology strategy and architecture. Barry has 14 years of experience in software engineering across the full stack, from browser to CPU. Beginning with Irish startup Avaeon Solutions in 2004, he led the development of a framework for data-intensive web applications, including the design and implementation of an in-memory relational database. He then moved on to own Delphi language design for six years at Borland, where he shipped compiler, debugger and runtime library improvements to hundreds of thousands of developers.
Martin leads the Platform Team at Duco, focusing on the testing, deployment, and monitoring of the application and the architecture that runs it. He is a strong proponent of best practices throughout the application stack, and is equally at home discussing user requirements, writing code, or administering servers. Martin is particularly focused on developing tooling to empower developer and operational engineering teams to iterate rapidly while maintaining consistent high standards. He has pushed the use of proactive monitoring, data mining, and analytics tools to derive information that can be used throughout Duco to help make informed business decisions.
Matthew was Duco’s first non-founder hire and currently leads the feature development teams for Duco Cube. He has over 10 years’ experience in full stack software development, including at public transport innovators Kizoom. When not advancing the Duco Cube platform, Matthew provides guidance and mentoring to the growing Duco technical teams. A believer in transparency and effective communication, he prides himself on building interdisciplinary bridges across the business. Matthew holds an MSci in Mathematics and Computing, and a Phd in Computing, both from Imperial College London.
VP of Engineering
Daryl looks after the Engineering team at Duco, including Product Development, QA, Technical Operations and Research Labs. He has built and led multi-national technology teams for 20 years, across many industries including mobile messaging, business intelligence, social media analytics, translation, and CRM. Most recently, Daryl was VP of Engineering for OpenMarket, a leader in cloud based messaging systems, where he led teams across London, Seattle, Guadalajara and Pune. Daryl is an American ex-pat in London, holding a UK Tier 1 Exceptional Talent visa. He has a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
